OOC Post
Hey all. I know I’ve been pretty absent over the past few weeks, and I apologize. There’s been a lot going on lately, both professionally and personally, and I haven’t been around tumblr as much. I’ve also been under a lot of strain mentally, and keeping it together has been a bit harder than usual. I haven’t really been feeling a creative spark much either, and writing for Nisha has been a bit more difficult than it used to be.
Which is not to say that I’m going to just drop all my threads, or cease roleplaying with people - it’s just been harder than it used to be to get into that headspace.
I’m going to be at Awesome-con this weekend. I’ll try to get some responses out next week. I still love all of you.
Stay locked and loaded,

“What do I get the girl who’s good at figuring people out? I’m not really laden with prizes here.”
“An assload of respect is what you’re gettin’, if ya are what I think you are.” She gestured to the tattoos on the woman’s arms. “Siren, I’m guessing?”

“Mean..I can try.” Tim said taking the bottle from her, he really should have grabbed something to open one of these things with, of course it would be one of those super sealed one. Tim at first tried to pick at it with his fingers, pull the cork, and then tried to pull the cork out with his teeth, nothing.
Tim looked back to Nisha, not quite defeated yet, “Heeeey you don’t happen to have like, a knife or something on you Nis?”
Nisha had to laugh at Tim trying and failing to get the champagne bottle open. “Oh, give it here. Shit, thought Jack’d have trained ya on shit like this - he loves doin’ the whole pop the bottle thing. Check it.” She shook the bottle vigorously and popped the cork out. “Ya see? Not so bad.” She grinned and took a deep slug. “Shit, that’s nice.” The wine went to her bed a bit, making her giggle. “Here, you have some. Shit, it’s kinda hot in here.” She stood up and pulled her duster off before lying it on the table. She gestured at Tim’s own jacket that he had on. “Ain’t you hot in here? It is a bit hot.”

“Alduin was a force to be reckoned with. The World Eater, by what the old texts say. And the last thing we all need is him being back..”
Pari said quietly, almost as if speaking of the dragon would summon him back. One brush with him was enough for now..
She continued down the stairwell, and she shuddered at what she had seen. The Imperial hated these places, having seen just how horrendous they were first hand.
“This place.. ugh. I’m not at all keen on them, if I’m completely honest, Nee-Sha.”
Nee-Sha nodded, only half listening. “World Eater. Yes…” her distracted tone of voice came through. She was examining the rack the Imperials used to extract confessions. There was no occupant, but Nee-Sha could use her imagination. “The rack… I never saw one used. I would like to” She moved on. A set of hammers and nails, some of them bloodied, lay on a stool, next to a pair of pliers. “Ah, pliers. A corner block of any pain-givers kit.” She picked them up and then, improbably, pocketed them. There was a corpse in one of the cages, and she set to examining it eagerly, looking for signs of torture. “Were you in this room when anything was done? What do you think happened to him?”
“I’ll never forgive you if you die before I can kill you myself.” (battle starters)

Moxxi would’ve laughed had the situation been any different. She just managed a grim chuckle, her hand slack around Rubi’s grip.
“Heh…never thought you cared Cowgirl.” She muttered, peering over Nisha’s shoulder with a wince.
All she could see for miles was the crazed sea of psychos, each mask just a little different from another.
They were currently being fended off by Sanctuary, the citizens giving everything they could to stall their approach and find victory before it was too late to try.
She was already exhausted. The battle hadn’t even begun yet, and it could only get worse from here on out.
“If we survive this…drinks are on the house.”
She flashed a smile at least. It was all she could do.
Moxxi’s ears were ringing.
She’d propped herself up to watch whatever the cowgirl had been doing but upon realisation had thought it wiser to ‘duck and cover’.
She raised her head slowly, removing her hands from her ears and looked around the bar.
She gave a laugh, straightening up.
“Well shit…that was actually pretty good.”
She shouldered Heartbreaker and dusted her hands down on her dress.
“Automatics? Please, does a Skag shit in the dunes?” She exclaimed, clearing her throat before gesturing to their disorientated company.
“Keep an eye on them, I’ll see what the old fruity’s got.”
A lot, as it were.
Moxxi stayed low, ducking round to the machine and hauling the half filled bottle bin with her. The private code was punched in and she scrolled through the inventory, selecting four automatics, two more shotguns and finally, a sniper. Dropping all but the latter into the bin, Moxxi kicked it back towards the bar and checked the current ammo in the sniper.
Corrosion would do for now. A few spins of the machine spat out some spare ammo clips before the tender darted back to Nisha. She gestured to the unfortunate mode of gun transportation and grinned. At least if worst came to the worst, a bottle of vodka and some dishrags could be useful. Molotovs weren’t too difficult to make these days.
“Take your pick sugar.”
Without waiting for an answer, however, Moxxi straightened up just enough to reach the nearest bottle on liquor on the back shelf that hadn’t been smashed yet.
Bourbon. She could deal with that.
She pulled the speed pourer free and took a hearty drink, offering it to the woman beside her.
Nisha smirked and took the drink. “Ya know, speakin’ Hodunk style you ain’t so irritating. Much better ‘n that ‘sultry’ act you like putting on. Oughta do it more often.” She downed it. “Smoothe.” She gestured to the bin. “That’s innovative, but I prefer my digi-pack.” She waved the bin away. “I got my Fusilade, so I’m set.” She pulled out the Legendary Scav Machine gun and set it to ‘fire.’ “This oughta hurt em.” She leaned her head back, closing her eyes, wondering if this was the day she was going to die. “Maybe this is it for me. My last day ‘n alla that. Shit, there’s other people I’d have preferred to die alongside of, but they’re all dead or they split, so I guess you’ll have to do.” She smiled wryly.

“You never know. A lot in the chaos during the siege was left so there’s nothing to say that there won’t be anything left. But it is safest to wait until morning for that..”
After all, there was more than one way to get our of this place and she knew that well.
“Aye. The biggest dragon one could ever see! As dark as the clouds in a storm and every bit as terrifying as legends dictate. Supposedly, legend has it that that particular one was Alduin. Although I cannot be sure.. let me know where you wish to rest.”
Nee-Sha nodded in wonderment. She knew little about dragons - why concern oneself with the extinct? But the thought of seeing one… “Alduin? I do not know who that is. Is he a great dragon?” She didn’t know the Nordic legends. She continued down the stairwell until she hit a room that was obviously used for interrogation and torture.
“Well, well, well… what have we got here?” She said this less with disgust and more genuine curiosity.
“Who needs a boyfriend/girlfriend when I’ve got a friend like you?”

“Wait are you serious?” Tim was sure her and jack would be spending today together, maybe it just wasnt for them?
“Well I’m flattered Nis!” Tim said smiling
“Uh….no, I usually don’t visit horror movie sets.” Tim said after realizing where they where. Sure he heard around that the infestation was cleared out and okay to visit without getting mauled, still it sent a chill down his spine. “I guess it has its own charm…”
Nisha chuckled. “Most of Pandora’s a horror set, cowboy. Elpis, too. Where ya been, Tim? Zombies ain’t no scarier than Psychos with buzzaxes or flying Vault Guardians. Least the zombies move slow enough for ya to shoot easier.” She stretched out. “It is pretty charming, though, ain’t it?” She gestured to the tall pine trees… though the view was somewhat spoiled by all the stumps. Jakobs needed wood, and lots of it.
“Calm down, I’m here now.” (panic attack starters)

“Yeah yeah just give me some space Nis.” Tim said almost pushing Nisha back to give himself breathing room. He quickly ran to a secluded part of Helios after another ‘meet and greet’ of sorts, despite his acting credentials he still needed a break and these strange a person, shake a baby, and have a hot chick around each arm was starting to get to him, even he needed a break from all this.
“God I need a drink, or a pillow to scream in…”
“Duh of course.” Tim said taking the bottle from her, Downing a good amount before handing it back to her and joining her on the bed. “Damn- that burns, good though.”
Tim leaned back, having the time to just relax after that panic attack and be alone with Nisha, he didn’t want to be anywhere else. “Hey you can always use this place if you want too Nish, I’ll get you copy of the key made later…ya know we should do this more.”
“Just…ya know…hang around each other.”
Nisha was a bit surprised as Tim downed a good amount of the liquor with no seeming ill effects. She wouldn’t have thought he’d had that in him, although she had to laugh when he said it burned.
She smiled at the offer of getting her a key made, and hanging out with him a bit. “Hell, I wouldn’t mind bein’ able to hang round this place. Lynchwood drives me outta my mind some days - same shit every day. And Helios or Opportunity…” she took the bottle back and took a slug “…don’t get me started on those places. Can almost feel the fuckin’ fakeness. This place… wouldn’t mind havin’ a getaway like this… or someone to share it with.” She smiled, but a bit more shyly this time. She picked up one of the wine bottles. “Hey, pop this shit open or what?”

She was already exhausted. The battle hadn’t even begun yet, and it could only get worse from here on out.
“If we survive this…drinks are on the house.”
She flashed a smile at least. It was all she could do.
In their current predicament, Moxxi didn’t give two shits about keeping up appearances. She grinned, reaching up and knocking her top hat off of her crown before pushing her hair back from her face and reaching into the weapons trunk, that she’d pulled Heartbreaker from earlier, under the bar counter. From it she yanked a grenade belt, snatching on off and tossing it over the bar.
Counting to three, Moxxi stood and turned, firing a round at the grenade. It met with a crack and an earsplitting roar as she watched the fireworks with a laugh. Ducking down again, she sighed.
“Tha’s at least 15 on my count, although ah might jus’ let you win anyway. Ah think this conversation’s been a long time a’comin’.”
Nisha couldn’t stop her ears from ringing as the grenade exploded dangerously close to her. She had to laugh at the spray of body parts, some of which sailed through the window. “Hah! Nice!” She couldn’t hear her own words, and Moxxi’s seemed to come through some sort of insulated layer, but she grasped the meaning easily enough.
“Thought we were countin’ it on shots alone, not explosives! But if we’re doin’ it that way, check this out!” She took out another Mirv grenade and a rolling thunder electrical alongside it. “Never done this before… here it goes!” The electrical grenade sailed out first, landing and detonating with bolts of lightning going everywhere. The Mirv hit the ground three seconds later, detonating with a tremendous bang. The force of the explosion propelled the shock grenades out well beyond their maximum range, zapping everything in their path and the whole area was lit by explosions and lightning. And dust. Lots of it.
When the dust settled, dozens of bandits lay dead, and the rest were disoriented, backing off. Nisha, on the other hand, could scarcely believe it.
“I’ll be god damned… it actually worked. That’s… you know what? I got no fuckin’ idea how many that was. Shit, we’ll just have to toss a coin or somethin’.” She took a deep breath, her hearing starting to come back. The bandits would redouble their attack soon, but for now, they had a breather. “Stay ready. They’ll charge soon, and it’ll be in earnest this time. Got any automatics?”
